Sports in our Gimnaziya

Our sports gym is considered to be one of the largest in Khabarovsk.

The secret of our victories is a gym with modern equipment in which students develop their physical skills and stamina. Basketball, football, volleyball are often played in a gym .

There are some sports traditions in Gimnaziya #5:

Four times a year basketball battles between teachers and pupils teams are held in the sports gym. They gather big crowds of fans.

Yura Koratun is a member of the Far Eastern Regional basketball team.

Like other schools we have our basketball team. Our team has won 23 regular official games from 24 games.

The Teachers of Physical Education

The teachers of Physical Education A.A. Grekov and T.I. Grebenyuk are really well qualified. They like to play sports games with us and are always eager to teach us new sports tricks. A.A.Grekov is the Master of Sports.

Some pupils of Gimnaziya 5 are the best football players in our city Danil Grigoriev and Alexey Karavyansky- are the football players at the SCA (Army Sports Club) - the best football club in the Khabarovsky Krai.

Greco-Roman Wrestling

Daniel Nazaryan is taking up Greco-Roman wrestling. He is one of the best wrestlers in the Far East.

Ballroom dances

The Queens of ballroom dances, Julia Lee and Kristina Zamorochko study in Gimnaziya 5.

We are proud of our pupils who have won a lot of medals, cups and prizes and continue to bring glory to Gimnaziya 5
